ThinPrep Slide Library
To facilitate training, Hologic has compiled sets of ThinPrep Pap Test cases into boxes of 20 slides each. Each set contains an array of diagnostic entities as seen in gynecologic cytology. They are not labeled, but are accompanied by an answer key. Slide Libraries are to be used on a loan basis, and should be returned within a 2-week time period.
How are these slides meant to be used?
Since these slides are not labeled with the diagnosis, they are most often used as "unknown" cases and utilized in the training of additional cytotechnologists and pathologists in the laboratory. They can also be used in a proficiency testing scenario or for continuing education.
Instrumentation
ThinPrep Slide Libraries can only be sent to facilities that have completed Hologic’s ThinPrep Pap Test Training Program. If you have completed the ThinPrep Pap Test Training Program, go to www.cytologystuff.com and click on the "Free Stuff" tab. We will attempt to send a set within 48 hours of our receipt of your request.
