The ThinPrep System® serves as a platform for numerous women's health tests from a single patient vial, including: cervical cancer screening; testing for human papillomavirus (HPV) using Digene Corporation's Hybrid Capture® 2 HPV Test; and Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria gonorrhea (NG) using either GenProbe's APTIMA COMBO 2® CT/NG Assay or Roche Diagnostics Corporation's COBAS AMPLICOR™ Analyzer. The ThinPrep System also provides a platform for breast cancer risk assessment with the FirstCyte Breast Test.

In addition to diagnostic testing, Cytyc is a leader in women's healthcare in providing technology for procedures treating two other conditions: excessive menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia) using the NovaSure System; and early-stage breast cancer using partial breast irradiation, called the MammoSite Radiation Therapy System.
